The service was terrible and the food wasn't exactly stellar. Our waitress had no idea how to service a table. It was almost as if she had never been taught how to serve properly. On top of that, when she would leave our table after taking our order, we would watch her talk to her work buddies and take a lap around the restaurant before she would make her way to the computer to put our order in (it was literally right next to our table). When we finally got our food (my order wasn't processed correctly) we were not pleased either. Other than the chicken wings and seaweed salad, every dish we had was terrible. We had sushi, pad Thai with shrimp, and hibachi with chicken and shrimp. The sushi we ordered had all these things in it, including "crab" on top, according to the menu but when it was brought to the table we found that there was barely any substance in the actual roll beneath the large mound of "krab". The pad Thai tasted like it was made with Jif peanut butter and the hibachi flavorless. In addition to the lack of flavor, the hibachi cost $24 for chicken and shrimp which did not include noodles when I ordered fried rice to come with it. It turned out that the extra $2.95 for the small portion of lame fried rice was considered an upgrade from the noodles instead of in addition to the meal. Eaters and Yelpers beware of the previous positive reviews about this place. I trusted them, disregarding the one negative review. I paid a lot of money for a disappointing meal. Don't make the same mistake as me. I have this place two stars only because I did like my chicken wings but that was all.

I went to Yoko San Friday as part of Bus Loop, for the first time. It was great! The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was very cool and funky. We all received out complimentary drinks from two VERY friendly, attentive bartenders who we enjoyed talking to. This was especially nice since this was our last stop on Bus Loop before it ended so I am sure they were exhausted. We also ordered food (Miami Heat roll, and Rainbow Roll) which not only arrived expeditiously but we're both delicious! I am an avid sushi eater and snob, and discriminate regularly on places with chincy little rolls or mediocre fish. I will definitely be visiting Yoko San again and will happily sit at the bar!

Had lunch there today. Was greeted by the owner, Victor. My wife and I were seated at the hibachi area. We sat with other people at the table. We were a total of seven. The first course was a Miso broth with wide leaf seaweed and perfectly cubed tofu. The soup was delicious and delicate. The second course was a tossed green salad with a ginger dressing. I just love ginger dressing. It was just perfect. The perfumed scent of ginger and soy just permeated the salad. Next up was a plate of sushi which included California roll and spicy tuna. The tuna was just spicy enough to leave a kick on your tongue. The sushi was very fresh and simply delicious. It was served with wasabi and pickled ginger. I like to put soy sauce on mine. Soy sauce is one of my favorite condiments. I tend to flavor everything with soy sauce. For a forth course, we were greeted by the hibachi chef who was to prepare our meal. He entertained us as we are accustomed in restaurants like this. He was artistically skilled in his culinary abilities throwing knives around, juggling salt shakers, and balancing raw eggs on his cleaver. He was an excellent showman. An artist with his knife. He prepared a shrimp appetizer, stir fried veggies, prime steak and chicken breast. It was truly a work of art, a feast for the eyes and palate. I had a wonderful time. Victor is a sincere and gracious owner. He came over to the table to welcome us telling us about his background and his venture into the restaurant business. This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant similar to the chain known as Benihana. I am not too fond of chain restaurants. Yoko San has just one location. This a perfect place to take a date, for special celebrations or just anytime. They are open for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant and my wife and I will be back. You will not be disappointed. May I add, the service was excellent.

This place is really great if you want hibachi and a good time! It is a little hidden but the only hibachi in East Boca and very delicious! It has a swanky vibe and maybe needs to have more of a focus on hibachi and less on staying open until 2am and hookah outside which was a big turn off for me. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday and the place was almost completely empty with many waiters standing around and their website is not up yet and they have no online presence at all. I spoke to them about this and they said they are working on it. They need to get their act together soon of they will be out as fast as they came in. The hibachi tables are nice and the food is really tasty and fresh and flavorful. If you are in the area you should stop by and try it out. I would definitely come back here for hibachi and $5 wine from 5-8pm with other happy hour deals.

This place has all the essentials if you are looking for a good night out with friends. The food is off the charts, the bartender has a heavy hand, and the music keeps you bouncing. I'll definitely be going back again and again. We had sushi which was very tasty and I can't remember the drinks. The hookah adds a nice touch when you're just looking to vibe on a low key night.

Came for happy hour for a girls night. Great Food. Delicious. Fresh. Very tasty drinks by Dani! Fantastic service by Maya. We were also greeted by the GM, AJ, and the owner Cory. My table ordered a series of sushi and hibachi dishes and it was all fantastic. Specifically the Miami Heat roll, the shrimp tempura and the rainbow roll. We also had the Tokyo Tea which was amazing. Recommend this for a great night out. The team makes it exciting and fun! Looking forward to visiting again.

Yoko-san is a very good Benihana type restaurant. They copy many of the routines that Benihana does. Yoko-san tries very hard but doesn't quite live up to Benihana's level. Don't get me wrong they are quite good, just not good enough. When you copy someone it is difficult to be as good. I enjoyed my meal very much, the restaurant was very clean and everyone, particularly Victor, the owner are very nice and helpful. I would recommend a night out out at Yoko-san any time. The food was extremely tasty and I loved it.

We stumbled in to the sushi restaurant and lounge because they serve late, till 2 AM! We did not have super high expectations and we were nonetheless delighted with everything! Christie our server was fantastic. The Tom Yum and Tom Ka, soup were superb. The roles were also excellent and plentiful. They even had cilantro which we like to add to the tuna roll Lobster pad Thai and shrimp with green curry were both fantastic. Perfectly seasoned a little kick very fresh tasting and the shrimp and lobster were excellent quality.

Stopped in for sushi here and sat at the bar. Awesome Mango mojito made by Danyella. The sushi was pretty darn good, very fresh. We had the Miami Heat rolls they were delicious. Ordered a second order! I also had the shrimp fried rice, huge bowl, and very yummy as well. Both bartenders named Daniella (one spelled differently) were fantastic!

I would like to call myself a veteran of Hibachi restaurants, and I can say with absolutely certainty that Yoko-San is my favorite. I came here for the first time tonight and have already made plans to come back on Friday for ladies' night. (Which is 50% off sushi from 7-9 and free drinks from 9-11.) I had the veggie hibachi entree with fried rice. Yum! The edamame was also superb, I'd definitely recommend it for an appetizer.

The food is just amazing. The chef even came over to our table. It's the service that I have to give it two stars for. As someone in the industry myself I am very critical, but our server Erika was just a train wreck. She was rude, and would rather be outside smoking cigarettes as we saw. I wanted a refill on my drink, she never came by. She kept on asking us to "close out" even when we weren't through with the food. At the end of the meal was when she asked if we wanted something else to drink, after we had been pressured to pay the check. Go for the food. Be warned that the service is crap. After still a 25 percent tip, she failed to thank us for anything. Just rude.

Horrible. Everyone is confused. 9 employees and no one knows what is going on. Six patrons in the restaurant and they gave us our salad without dressing as well as the table next to us. Our steak hibachi entree never came. Lots of people standing around. Waiter was very nice but the kitchen sucks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The only hibachi in east boca and its REALLY good. The problem is the location. This place has been really shit out because of construction but it's all good now and frankly, Gluttonous Goat blows and the drinks here are so way better. The yum yum sauce is like Benihana and the service is great. What are you waiting for? I'm having my hibachi as I write this review because I don't want to see this place go out of business. Great restaurants deserve to succeed and this is really a great place to eat with an affordable happy hour

Live in the building where they are located! Great for convenance...called to order take out. Ordered signature steak dish with peanut sauce and asparagus. The steak was a strange grey color, looked like it was done on a George Forman grill. No asparagus, no signature peanut sauce some horrible mixed veggies from a bag, never was told there was going to be a substitution? Also ordered large green salad typically iceberg and ginger dressing, again not the salad pictured or close. They also never included any dressing ? The worst part was, they left a menu on my car today and that's why I gave them another shot. Really was craving sushi ordered the crunch roll (crab, avocado, spicy tuna cream cheese) none was in the roll just crab rice and FISH EGGS $13 by the way... asked the girl on phone if it had fish eggs, she wasn't sure but I told her NO FISH wasn't close to anything I ordered and loaded with FISH EGGS! Looked back at menu couldn't even find a roll that was close ??? then went back for the weirdly greasy ginger salad dressing...Called them (they were closed by this time) told by manager to come in and he would take care of it ???? He never asked my name or my phone number just hung up??? AND I LIVE IN THE BUILDING ??? Don't get the concept in the first place, definitely no where your local crowd would frequent. Fine is the word I will use to describe this place. Not horrible, nothing special, just fine. However for a so called "hibachi" place I do find it odd that there are only two actual hibachi tables. I'm not even the biggest fan of hibachi but if I am going for hibachi I want to sit at an actual hibachi table. We made a reservation and when arrived were told we would have to wait as the hibachi tables were full, the rest of the place, basically empty. We sat at the bar ordered a drink and a sushi roll. The owner, or manager did come over and apologize and later did buy us a drink on him. Maybe when taking reservations there should be an option to reserve at the hibachi table? Would I go back, probably not.

Enjoyed Awesome service (Lewis) and Hibachi here last night. Even though it was late, i. e. after 10, they served us the full menu rather than just the late night menu. The restaurant was way too quiet for a Saturday night but the staff was cheerful and helpful as was the owner who has some exciting new ideas coming, (live music, extended late night menu, etc) I had the steak Hibachi which may have been the best I've ever had, perfectly cooked and seasoned, my wife's salmon was similar. We are planning on returning to try the sushi and other dishes. With the excellent service and food we experienced we are hoping that many others find this place so it will survive. Decided to check this place out after buying a Livingsocial voucher. I was expecting the place to be super busy as the voucher requires a reservation to redeem. The place was a little hard to find and parking was scarce as many spots were marked reserved. While driving around looking for parking, we were informed after 5pm parking is free anywhere so we were able to find a spot real quick after that. After that, the experience was great. Our server Christy was the best. We had a party of 5 with 3 different checks, she did not make one mistake or have an attitude about splitting up the check. We were very indecisive throughout our drink and food ordering and she was super cool and patient during the whole process and even laughed with us. We were cutting it close to 8pm so we tried to get in orders fast so we could be still under happy hour pricing. All in all, great food and even better service. Between us all, we ordered different variations of fried rice, sushi, and hibachi and all was yummy! Can't wait to go again

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly.

Went for hibachi and sushi. Amazing food, very nice atmosphere and extremely friendly employees. Will definitely be visiting again!

I'm in love with this place .... The sushi and hibachi is fantastic and fun ... A great place to diner with family and hang out with friends.!!!
(5)Diana E.

(5)Mandy K.
2nd time at Hibachi and it was pretty good! Probably will be coming back here again.
(4)Rebecca B.
Just rude.
(2)Dorel S.

I will never eat at this place I live right on top of the restaurant in boca and what I saw last week on my balcony. Was a man yelling at one of his staff member I hard everything me and my wife was shock that how bad they treat there employee I would never ever eat at a place like that . This restaurant is a joke . If u willing to eat at a place that clearly verbally abuse staff member then god help us all . Do not eat at this restaurant.

Sorry not a great well, anything !

Give it a try you won't regret it.
